Hiya fellow Range Rover sufferers, has anyone else suffered fuel gauge issues ?
Mine is a 2010 vogue with a 4.4 tdi, when I let the fuel run down to about 2/3s it decides to plummet down to around 1/3 of a tank reading also the miles left indicator on the dash seems to match the new lower reading, when I fill it up most of the time it will go back up to full but it can take days for it to read a correct reading, does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be, software or maybe sender unit or even corrosion ?

Hiy Tomcat, the fuel consumption is great on it tbh on a run I have been getting 30+ mpg its just annoying that the fuel gauge doesn't read the correct amount sometimes, if I keep it topped up to full and fill up every 100 miles it will read correctly, I just didn't want to pay out for new senders and garage fee's only to find out it's the software.
I love the motor its just all the constant problems, this is just the latest one, my slightly older Range Rover was great, never had a problem with it from day one :-/

Today, it rectified it's self about 5 miles after I after I filled up, think I will have to take it to the main dealers (Hunters, Norwich) at ready......£158 per hour labour they quoted me 2 weeks ago, 4 hours to fit a rear brake calliper and rear pads so they reckoned, I took it to Wilco's they did it all for £50 and it only took them 40 mins to do everything, how can a main dealer ask for that amount with a straight face ? lol

Because they are a robbing shower of barstewards. They have fancy showrooms, workshops and loads of staff , many of them couldn't find a fault with a car if it jumped up and bit them on the ar$e.:D
