Fuel filter renewal.
Here's how Ah did it
The filter...
Furst Ah slackened the bleed screw on top of the housing...
then using a filter removal tool (only because ah can't get enough grip!)....
Ah removed the filter....
The new filter...
using some fresh diesel, ah smeared it around the rubber seals...
and checking to see if there was anything left from the old filter (which there was!)....
before sticking the new filter on only hand tight....
As the bleed screw was already open, (Might be an idea to replace the copper washer on the bleed screw at this point) it was just a case of pumping the fuel pump lever until no more air bubbles came out of the bleed screw...
and closing the bleed screw...
That's it, job done
Just a wee note to say that ah prefer to pump the fuel through mesel' instead of filling the filter with fuel before fitting. At least ah know it's clean fuel then
