Fuel Filter Multi Plug

HI,
I have noticed that the fuel filter on my td5 does not have the connector attached to the filter nor is there a socket for it though the cable and connector are tucked away on the chassis. Its a mann filter not LR maybe thats the reason, does this matter and what is it for anyway.

Hi, the multi-plug is for the water sensor which screws into the drain hole, later vehciles did not have this so they tucked it up in the chassis.
