fuel filter help plz

whats the difference between a 200tdi and a 19j?
and how can i tell them apart?

i have bought a 200tdi 110 and have just done a full service, etc, everything looks great, except! the defender 200tdi fuel filter is way too long to fit in the housing for it in my engine bay.

i ordered ****part number aeu2147l for a 200tdi

never done this before but its clear to see it isnt going to go in.

any help would be very much appreciated, heavily pregnant misses asleep at the mo so i have snatched 5 mins to get my landy sorted!

the tdi is complete and the j is a houseing with filter in...

is a 19j filter shorter?

i have a new filter here for tdi.tis like an oil filter .smaller thread size with water drain on bottom.yours is like a cartridge filter.if u want to change it for a modern 1 you will have to change the mount housing.your filters are cheaper by far.do you have a water problem?

no problem just yet really but i have just moved to a 50/50 veg oil mix so expecting ****ty filters for a while.

never done it before so thought id throw a new 1 in now anyway but obviously i have the wrong filter now. where can i order the right filter do u know??

i use to use any local factors for the cartridge ones on my old rangie.bout 6 quid i think.go trade counter **** halfords.

ill nip down camberley tomorrow, should have 1.

does anyone have a new style housing i could purchase?? is it a straight swap?

could dig up a houseing from andy you could.u want his number.hes there monday.scrappeer.disco 1 would probably do if yer mess about.its nic ta let the water out with a mix.the tapped filters delphi are best.

it should be straight swap only difference I can see is that one of the fuel pipes is on top of the housing on a 200Tdi.

bit confused now. so i have a 200tdi but with a different filter housing???
any idea what it could be from?
i think i will just change the whole thing

Probably started life as a 19J TD and had a 200TDi upgrade done. is it a disco engine in it??

was hoping someone on here could tell me for sure what it is. pics at the start of the thread
