Can anyone tell me if this can be used as a direct replacement for my current locakble fuel cap? Once again this morning I got to the petrol station and the lock was frozen solid, so once again I couldn't get any diesel, only just made it home and I'm now having to **** about with a jerry can before I go to work later.

This is the second time it's happened this winter and it did it during a cold snap in February too. Last time I managed to furtively defrost it with a lighter at the petrol station :)eek:), but it was -9° here this morning and it was having none of it. What do people with Landys in Norway or wherever do?

Don't know if that will fit. But a little de-icer or antifreeze on the key will defrost the lock quick enough As will heating the key with a lighter.

Can't see why it would not fit (check you chassis number) .................

- Have you tried just spraying some spray oil into the lock - this will stop condensation forming on the inside and freezing!
