Just borrowed my fathers TD5 90 03plate defender to jump start and or possibly tow a friends corsa back. It did its job suitably, in a dutiful manner.
But due to the wonderful weather we have at this time of year I was operating the wipers. I was happily driving with intermittent (posh) wipers but decided the rain had gone past that level and had needed normal speed. When I decided I need to change the speed of the wipers, the wiper arm was in the docked position, by the time my brain had communicated to my arm that I would like it to operate the wiper column, the wiper arm had sprung in to action. Now the wipers are floundering in the centre of the screen with no life in them.
My first thought was fuse, but they all seem fine (looked under the seat and in front of the gearstick) and the washers also work. So now I am thinking its a relay, problem is I don't know which one or where it is.
Basically
Front Wipers don't work, washers do work.
Help
I have searched through your lovely forum's previous problems and come to nothing.
I am aware I am not an active member of this prestigious forum, but any help will be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers
Bob

Been playing around with it and I can hear the relay switching behind the dashboard somewhere so I know the switch gear still works
