front tow ball/bar for SERIES 2 Disco

Hi,
Anyone fitted the Watling FRONT towbar kit
for the series 2 disco.
Towbars, Front push tow bars, towing brackets specialists from Watling Engineers

Any info would be appreciated

Yes, I have one on my TD5. It's great.

I asked them to make mine with two sockets one central and one to the left.

In my TD5 just taking the main radiator plastic grill out (3 popper plug things under the bonnet) exposed the bolts and nuts that need undone.

I fitted mine single handed in about an hour. Two more hands would have been useful.

It is amazing how good it is shoving trailers from the front, and when pulling trees down and things like that using the front means you can see what is happening, and not get a crick in your neck looking backwards.

As I didn't get any response all those sunny weeks ago, I bit the bullet
and bought the kit, I have to say it was a bit of a pig to fit, I'm not sure what screws you're talking about, I had to do everything from underneath the vehicle, which included removing a thick rubber duct/shield, which is located above the antiroll bar, very stubborn, just didn't want to come out. Had to have it though and after that it was pretty much straight forward. I have used it since to push my caravan into its awkward storage space.
I'm well pleased!
