Hello...

I need new shocks for the front. Now my Disco had ACE but it has been disabled. I don't think they did a proper job though and I think it lacks the anti roll bars. I aim to get this rectified at some point. Now I don't seem to suffer much roll and the ride is fine. I was about to purchase some Brit Part shocks when I noticed some OEM ones which mentions:

"Between 1998 and 2002 the Discovery 2 had some variations equipped with ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement). Please be sure of which suits your vehicle before ordering".

So....there are different front shocks depending on wether ACE was installed. Am I safe to just buy the stock BRIT Part ones?

If you look at the parts lust for the D2 there is many different numbers for the shocks dependant on wearher its got ace rear air or springs and also its age.
I can haveca look for you this evening if you can hold on.
A full set of standard shocks for the D2 can be got for less than £70.00.

Cheers.

If you can that would be great. It's a 99 td5. ACE has been disabled and the air bags replaced with coils. I will make sure it has the proper anti roll bars in the near future and plan to remove any excess ACE weight. :)

For the front you need RNB103533,
SHOCK-ABSORBER totalparts.co.uk

And the rears RPD102332, although these CANNOT be got cheaply,
SHOCK ABSORBER ASSY totalparts.co.uk

There is much cheaper options for the rears, but the above part number is for a car with no ACE or rear air suspension.

Cheers.
