Freelander 1 Front seat belt buckles

I've just bought a set of seats from a 2005 car, which I am assured will fit into my 2001 car! Certainly, the mountings look the same. I'm just wondering if I can leave the buckles and pre-tensioners on the 2005 seat and clip the belt tongue of the 2001 belt into them without dying horribly in the event of a crash? Does anyone know if they're compatible?

I just installed a 2001 belt into my pre-MY01 car (using existing buckles) and its the same.

I'd put money on them being the same//compatible, but might be worth putting a seat by the car and seeing if it fits OK. If its tight or loose then swap them over.
