It is back in, looks good.

The other one (N/S) I cannet get out as one of the the bolts is screwed. No idea how it happened as I was using the same socket as the first one. ?The head has rounded off. I unscrewed about 3 turns and lost grip and slipped.......... Looks like a long job this side....

Always use single hex sockets for tight bolts. NOT twelve point ones. I shall be doing mine soon i will just use my reciprocating hacksaw and cut them off.

Yes lesson learnt.
I was thinking of a reciprocating hacksaw or as a last resort on this one an angle grinder.........

I got the other front radius arm off, via my head. I had to saw through the bolts and just as I was thinking "that may fall" it did. Luckily I caught it or it may have been damaged. ;-)

Lucky it hit your head then. Wouldn't want the radius arm damaged hitting the floor. :D:D:D

It left me a little dazed for a minute, but I rolled out from under the vehicle with a black impact mark on the left of my head.

I think it was a combination of not being too jacked up, and the nut still loose on the rear, that made it less of an impact than it could have been.

A couple of pics showing the progress.
Looks a lot better, clean and shiny, eat your dinner off that diff!!

I am sure pedestrians will be impressed as you run over them. :D:D Where's the cup pad for the jack? Very dodgy if you use it without one.

Errrr:eek:

I better get one. I did not think it would be dodgy/dangerous.
The jack has been in the family for years, I remember there being a square rubber pad a few mm thick but that went missing yonks ago.
Better get (or fabricate) a new one.

Should be a hole in the top of the lift arm that takes a spigot attached to a cup with grip tangs on it. Like the one in this picture on eBay. EPCO TROLLEY JACK | eBay Dangerous to use under a diff without one.
