Hi there
I have been thinking of putting one of these nuge front protection bars (part No VUB501330 ) on my Freelander facelift TD4 2005. So I can put pair of fog lamps on car. Are thay legal to travel on public roads. I have been told bull bars and alike you cannot fit them or use them on public roads without getting nicked. Is this true HELP  I have been looking just to fit lamp brackets but it does not look an easy job.
Bit of help and guidance please.
Regards Steve

No it isn't true. The EEC has made it illegal to manufacture or sell new A Bars and bull bars. that don't meet certain new standards (basically they have to be plastic now)

Or you could just get a set of LR Spotlights. Bolts onto the bumper and the kit includes all the wiring, relays etc.

Its quite a good kit but you do have to drill and cut your front bumper.

Cant find any on ebay to show you at the moment but I'm sure a search will find the info

the pod style ones (such as STC7909,STC50471,STC53074 for single lamp variant) or flush fog light variants (such as STC53081,STC50469,STC7908) do indeed mount straight to the bumper.

However, driving lamps (STC53137,STC50472,STC7906) or fog lamps (STC53082,STC50483) must be fitted with lamp mounting brackets (STC7907AA) or lamp mounting bars for pre 01 model year variant (STC50250,STC50251) The mounting bar requires a number plate plinth (STC50249)

bump im looking for a lamp pod that goes on the A frame bumper i broke it and now can't find a replacement! :(

I don't have the nudge bar (yet) I'm still not sure if I like it. But I have the driving lamps VUB500870 on my Freelander from the year 2005.
