1985 90 Truck cab. Finally finished the rear chassis repairs with Blacksheep cross member so have moved to the front.
Stripped out the brakes, found different sized calipers from left to right
LH brake pads about a third smaller than RH. LH caliper had signs of copper slip so obviously a recent addition so need to sort that.
I'm assuming I can fit vented discs and calipers to suit a 1985 90?
Front shocks/springs out. Hubs out. Swivels out, chrome surface looks good on both but signs of play on RH bottom bearing but will replace all and seals as a matter of course. I was tempted by the teflon kits but if swivels look good then there's no point is there?
Steering linkages and damper out. All totally gone. One of the rods (track rod or cross rod, can't remember which) was bent. Should I consider the solid bar HD kits that come with the ball joints on? And what steering damper make? Don't want Britpart tbh.
I've got the Super Pro poly bush kit for the bushes.
If anyone has recommendations/advice for decent replacement parts then I'm all ears
