Front drive Seals & Front Discs ???

Just had my Disco MOT'd, failed on the front ball seals leaking on discs and that the front discs are only 6mm thick. Informed @someone must have skimmed them down". Is this correct ?? and how hard are the front ball seals to do ??

swivel seals int hard to do just messy you can have a look at the bearings and CV joint while your at it.
