Front discs...

Going to replace my front discs and pads, while I have the stub axle out what all can I replace while I am in there, wheel bearing, outer seal and the hub gasket?

Anyone have any information on how to identify the bearings? there are 3 types I think.

Have I missed anything?

CV Joints?
Swivel bearings?
Swivel seals?
Swivel balls?
Inner stub-axle seal (highly recommended) - you'll need the phosphor bronze bush that holds it in place too.

Bearings are STC4382

I wasn't going to get that carried away - I was just meaning the stuff thats coming off anyway.

FTC5241 or FTC3185 for the hub bearing special washer - is that the phosphor bronze bush you were talking about?

Do I need a new lock washer and nut?

So far I have this on my list, 2 discs, 4 pads, 2 stub axle gasket, 2 drive flange gasket, 2 wheel bearings, 2 hub seals and (2 hub bearing washers of some sort - type unknown so far).

Does this sound like everything I could possibly need?

Oh and the box spanner.

Looks like the cost soon rattles up - all for some discs, which MIGHT pass the MOT anyway! GUH.

just wack em on and grease every thing when you put it back on ,same as a garage charging 75quids a minute,er they probably wouldnt even grease no bolts either

slip the back of the new pads inall.

I really should put all new bits in this time as the last time I only did the discs.

your going to need 4 bearings for both sides... not just the 2 stated above.
