Front corner knocking

I was on way home from work tonight and I heard a loud bang from drivers wheel then it started knocking if I went over 20mph and when turning a corner, do you think I've broke my cv or maybe something else? Is it worth rebuilding that corner?
I was goner do the swivel seal anyway so might aswell do that at same time lol
What's your opinions

Yes, it does sound like CV.

Yes, I'd strip it all to check and re-build.

Put it on full lock and move forwards 10yrds or so then back, cv's like to make loud clicking noise on full lock if there bust!

Mine does this when on full left lock but have noticed that the steering lock stops are all messed up meaning they are set differently and worn so was thinking if I was to replace and reset the stops would it stop the C.V. from clicking or am I just better off replacing both C.V. joints

No there is no wear on the hockey sticks but I do know the car had different wheels and tyres fitted to it before I bought it and it also has wheel spaces fitted aswell so thinking that the stops was adjustered to suit the old wheels but not sure if the wheel spaces was fitted then but thinking with wheel spaces fitted the steering is being over stretched and causing the N/S C.V. to click

Well thanks for the advice guys managed to sort the problem, it was coming from a plate someone had attached to the inner wing to stop wheel spray going onto the chassis!
Some how it had bent forward and caught the wheel and ripped a chunk out of the tread.
But never mind could have been worse lol
