Front bumper question

will a 90 winch bumper fit a series 3 ?

i've asked this question elsewhere and couldn't really get a straight answer.
what i was told was, the mounting points are the same but a 90 bumper is going to be slightly wider, couldn't confirm it though

wont make sweet F all difference…….defenders hardly wider, worst case is you chop and reweld the ends

they fit you have to grind the brackets thinner to fit into a series chassis leg but holes all line up !

Be careful as the winch will end up right out in front of the vehicle, affecting weight distribution. On an 88 it can make the handling even more pants. I mounted my winch on a tray in-between the wings, perfect for even a large winch to fit in there and nicely set back for weight distribution. Get a tray if you can and sell the Defender bumper to fund it. Will look better too.
