In the UK, thankfully.
Here is a photo of one of a pair of freewheeling hubs I bought for my Ser 2a. They have obviously not been used for a while but the seller said they worked. How do they engage/disengage? I know the operating principles but what part do I turn to go from 4x4 to 4x2? Is it the middle bit or the alloy bit on the outside. They are superwinch hubs. Anyone had these type before? Any advice would be appreciated.Did I get a bargain at £21? Thank you in eager anticipation!:)

Probably seized up if not been used/greased. Just get some penetrating fluid on them and soak...may be easier when they're on the landy.

Had a quick peep...185 quid new for a set..anywhere from 20 upwards used, so, if they work, you got a good buy!

Many thanks, I've given them a good soak in WD40 but will go and spray them again.

Those are very similar to Warn locking hubs the best. take those 6 screws out and separate the half's apart , the center that you turn probably has some grit making it hard to turn . how it work is a big spring engages it when you turn the dial push the spline thingy to your axle ends . it should turn easy no resistance and snap when engaged and disengaged. Do one at a time, also could go to warn locking hubs might have info to down load.

Just a good cleaning inside and out a little paint good as new. really easy to do If I can do it you can.:)

Good job! Get them on the motor!
Wish it was that easy. The "motor" is only a chassis at the moment but I am slowly collecting good parts for it to rebuild. Other things are taking precedence over the Landy, my son's Astra diesel (2nd engine) rusty shell etc siezed up so have bought another newer silver one and gonna swap the body kit, suspension, wheels etc over. Happy days.:)

Yup, they are freeing off nicely now. No clicking noise though but will follow your advice. Many thanks.
