hi,
i'm new to the forum, and as expected I have an issue that I thought I would canvas opinion on. Basically, I have a 13plate FL2 manual, and its currently in the garage having its 4th gearbox installed!
when it was delivered, 6th gear didn't work, and although the dealer claimed it was just a linkage issue, after 18months of niggly gear change issues, I took it to a different dealer who found an issue and replaced the gearbox.
Gearbox 2 wouldn't go into reverse after two days of use.
Gearbox 3 lasted 14 months before 5th gear became a juddering wreck of a gear and is currently being changed.
Am I just really unlucky here, or is there possibly something else causing the gearboxes to fail? Before you point the finger at me ;-), I have never had a gearbox issue in 25 years of motoring
any ideas please?
