Hi All. I have done a search before posting and have seen that the easiest way to deal with this problem is to replace the window surrounds with replacement used ones. I'm struggling to find some for the back of a 5 door Freelander but was wondering if there is any way to replace any of these with a none-LR "solution". I have searched but failed so I'm guessing the answer is no.

If I have to replace with used rear window trim is there any suggestions as to where I might pick some up from? Imin quite desperate need of the passenger side rear external surround as its such a mess its letting water in now and as a consequence has killed the motor. As I have just replaced the motor I'm not keen on doing it again in the near future.

Anyway, ill sign off before I go off on a tangent.

Thanks

Alan

I think the scrap yard is your best bet for a cost effective replacement. It's just a bit tricky to find ones that are okay. Both my rear door ones are pretty bad but i have one replacement. I pop back to my local yard every now and then to see what's there.

Thanks for the input folks. I've fired off a couple of messages on eBay to ask if anybody breaking any has the surrounds in a reasonable state. I did pop into my local scrapper and they don't have any.

I've fired a couple off to people breaking in the adverts on here. Obviously if anybody has any and want to sell me any give me a shout (especially passenger side rear)

Thanks all

Alan
