Hi there,
My wife Tricia and I went out last Friday to buy some new wellies and came home having ordered a 2008 Freelander HSE Auto! Should keep our feet dry
.
We're now selling our BMW 530d and looking forward to getting back into 4*4 driving, having had Pajeros for years before the Beemer. We're not hardcore offroaders, using the vehicle mainly for general use, caravanning and getting off the beaten track whenever possible. We've recently moved to Cornwall and so the chances for exploration are high.
Two questions:
What tyres are recommended? I loved General Grabber ATs on the Pajeros but can't find them in the 235*60*18 size the Landy will need. They had the twin virtues of being cheap(ish) and long-lasting, as well as giving good traction on road and on grassy campsites.
Are there any organised green laning groups in Cornwall? (we live in Perranporth) It's not something I've ever done but it would be good to give it a try.
Cheers - thanks in anticipation.
