hi, I have a freelander TD4 on a 06 plate with only 9,800mile on it

When I'm driving it, its okay, but when you get to a junction and slow down and accelerate again it tends to hold back and loses power, or when pull out, from a stand still once you put your foot down it seems as if it pulls back for a few seconds then gos again, but with my wife driving it with the kids in its a bit dangerous, I have tried to do a search ( but were do you start  ) It seems okay on a morning when its cold I think, please any ideas thanks guys

Hi, I started a thread (TD4 Power Loss when pulling away ) ages ago, There seemed to be many people with similar problems, I don't know what the underlying cause was with mine, as I got rid of it (back to a LR dealer)before it killed me or my family, LR didn't have a clue when I was trying to get mine sorted. Best of Luck.

Hi
Have a look at ROVERRONS web site [URL="http://tuning-diesels.com/TD4/Td4.htm sounds just like your problem, Out of spec maf sensor.

Hin

Think stew gave a possible cause, faulty maf. Try to disconnect and see whether difference in car's behaviour. Good luck.

Near the brake fluid reservoir at the back left corner of the air filter as you look at engine from front

10 o clock position at the side of the oil filler cap slightly underneath

Multi plug to disconnect and leave unplugged and try, If ok leave unpluged for weekend
