Hi my 08 freelander td4 has had this problem where the clutch pedal wouldnt return fully, had to pull it back up with my foot. Today it got worse and luckily went straight the floor just as i was going to my drive.

Obvious thing is the master slave cylinder but I have not lost any fluid at all.
I have just read online that someone had the same problem and luckily the garage they took it to had an issue the week before and a total clutch replacement failed to fix it. Turns out it was a faulty O ring in the bulk head somewhere that caused the problem and the garge took £160 to fix it.

Anyone heard of this at all?

Hi

It wasnt going all the way down at first so managed to pull it back up with my toe but then it went to the floor. I pulled it back up by hand.

Sounds like it has come disconnected from master cylinder at the pedal?? or, not knowing FL2, if cable operated, come adrift from cable fixing.

AA out today, looks like pedal still connected ok. Its a shared reservoir for brake and clutch fluid and havnt lost any fluid. Still hoping its a jammed rod but garage now have it so wait to see what they think.
