hi to all im a new chap i have a problem with my td4 51 plate it has a clonking noise it happens as i put my foot down to accelerate after slowing down it is only 1 clonk it is more noticable it you put your foot on then of the accelerater many thanks bluetd4 :)

From the symptoms you describe it should be your rear diff mounting bushes, 1/2 hour job and about £25 for parts.

When they go the car makes a clunk when you have slowed and then re-apply power (when turning a corner say).

To check you can get underneath it, grasp the propshaft at various places and give em a good wiggle.

You may also be able to see deterioration in the rubber mounts.

Cheers
