Freelander Shaking HELP PLEASE Bella xx

MY Freelander has started to shake and vibrate over the last few weeks ive replaced a engine mount and front arm as play in the rubber but its still doing it

Today dropped rear prop of Drives ok and this was to see if this fixed the shakes but no still there


It only shakes under load acceleration if i take my foot of the pedal it rolls smooth and perfect Im a wee bit lost as how to cure problem

Any advise from the Expects will be Great

do a search for driveshafts for a start

I agree with shuty, sounds like your front driveshafts, mine did the same- shudder under load and smooth while coasting. grab the driveshafts and feel for any looseness

Check the front propshaft to IRD "CV" (Tripod) joint - this went on mine with similar symptoms.

Hi again ive tugged driveshaft both tight with no play ive replaced lower arms both side Im quite lucky i work in a scrapyard so i get all bits free we have had it up on the ramps and cant see anything loose

My man who is working on car is a bit lost on driveshafts and the coasting smooth and under load shakes can anyone explain whats wrong with the shafts as i dont want to buy new ones at £125 each to find it does nt cure the problem

remove driveshaft and then move around that is how i found my problem try left side first

Hi, you say the vibration is only present under acceleration, and ok when coasting. Have to agree with other postings, the problem just has to be with the driveshafts. forgive the question but has the vehicle been kerbed causing damage to one of the driveshafts? just a thought.

I've got exactly the same, although only really shows itself badly over 60mph. I have just ordered another os drive shaft as it had some play in it, hopefully get it fitted tonight, but can't drive car until cluch is sorted!

Ive just brought a Brand new set of drive shafts £240 hope that will sort it b4 it falls apart and ive just treated it to a full 2004 facelift Bella xx

1 Ive replace engine mounts
2 Lower Arm drivers side
3 both discs and new pads
4 and drive shaft both
5 And its still the same

Matches plz lol any more Advice would be great I was think on the line of HUBS does anybody no if td4 hubs will fit as we have a few at work we are Braking
