Freelander Radio upgrade

Hi. Have a 2001 freelander td4, with the standard radio-cassette. Want to upgrade it with a standard DIN size radio cd player. Have been told that i will need some extra connectors for the wiring. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? and if so, where can i get some?

Wiring Harness Adaptors from Autoleads at Halfords

you'll need the bmw wiring harness from halfrauds.

its the one with the large pin block connector, costs about 15squids.

also it depends on what head unit you got...

i put a sony one in my 2001 TD4.
