Hi,
Have a 1.8i 3dr yr 2000, had it from new, 150k on clock, I want to change the pre cat sensor, ordered a part using reg and vin SALLNAAA7YA548901.
Wanted a bosch part to avoid cheap chinese product, most supplier sites gave the equivalent of MHK10004L as Bosch 0-258-003-193, overall length 423mm (cable is approx 320mm), local garage say cable not long enough, they tell me it goes from the bottom of the downpipe (confirmed from RAVE (cd) over the gearbox and into a socket on the otherside of the engine, can't confirm this. Now have the vehicle back until I can sort this, ah one more point the plug is a square 4 way.
Now either they have followed the wrong cable or this one is not long enough. I can't get it back into garage to measure the old one until next week.
Has anyone changed one, is this the right length or are they following the cable incorrectly, or any other ideas. Can't find anyone with one in stock to ask them to measure it, Landrover Whitley and Gaydon can't help.
Supplier tells me denso DOX- as a universal replacement for most vehicles (length is 750mm), listed on their site as replaceable by this is MHK1004L and MHK100720, if I look up the 720 number on supplier site it comes up under freelander 1.8i the bosch equivalent is 0-258-033-229 and is 623mm long for chassis num 1A576764 to Chassis No.:1A599999
Not a clue how this fits in with my vin number which is YA548901.
