hi everyone I have just purchased a 2005 Freelander with the dreaded 1.8 petrol K series engine. straight away I am having problems with it. first of all the clutch seems to be slipping when pulling off, the engine light has come on with a fault code saying 'fuel bank 1' I'm guessing this may have something to do with the smelly smoke which emits from the exhaust. next there is a loud 'clunking' noise from the bottom of the car when traveling at speed and I press or release the accellorator. (this also happens when going over speadbumps with the accellorator pressed.
I'm a complete novis and would appreciate any tips you may have.
