Freelander II TD4e

Hi I am looking at one of these as I am sick of getting stuck in the snow and I need a bigger car. The website states very good fuel consumption but these are never true figuers. Does anyone have one of these and could you let me know what I should be expecting for to and from work (10 miles stop and start) and longer mixed trips. I currently get 32mpg on my car.

Really,

A, There is very little excuse for getting stuck in snow in this country.
B, You will still get stuck behind Knobs who cant drive in the snow.
C, If there is no grip to be had four wheel drive will not help.

It's mostly down to driver technique, and reading the oh feck it, buy it

borrow one from a garage and try it yourself? most will let you have one for a short while... everyone always inflates what they get in terms of MPG so might be hard to get a true accurate answer, also people driving styles varying wildly so not a good measure, my dad swears he can get 40 mpg out of his TD5 D90 XS...
