Hi guys, I'm new here so please be gentle.
Over the last month my freelander has had power drop issues which felt like lack of fuel (diesel) or maybee a split turbo pipe, but it was very intermitent and I did'nt pay it enough attention. Upshot was the AA man at the side of the road said it was the low pressure fuel pump. This was replaced the next day by my pal, a genuine mechanic (something I'm not) and it broke again, this time because the lazy sod had forgot to replace the filter, which was done asap.
Now it runs like a dream. As long as there is more than a third of a tank of diesel in it. When it's full, not a problem, but when fuel is low the fuel starvation issues start and it's a bugger to start, sometimes starting with a plume of grey/white smoke, and the idle fluctuates as well which pushes me towards fuel but what do I know.
Any ideas guys.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice given.
