Freelander fuel pump
Hi,
After being rescued by the RAC last week, we were told we need to replace our fuel pump.
We know its situated in the back under the seat, but we need instructions on how to go about replacing it. Being told its a typical DIY job, we are happy to try it ourselves, but would appreciate any advise from anyone who has done this in the past.
Look forward to hearing from you, Thanks.....S&S:) :) :)
BTW its a 2002, 1.8 Petrol.

I dunno if the 1.8 is any different to the Td4!

but fold forward the rear seats and whip up the carpets, you should see a round'ish cover plate held down with a few phillips screws.
Remove the cover and it should be pretty self explanatory
Undo plug connector ( wi wire goin into it)
undo fuel hoses ( press the lugs together and pull out )
Undo big round nut doofer holdin it into the tank ( yer might have to **** it wiv summat )
And in good owld Heinz manwell fashun, "Fittin is reversal of removal"

Have fun!
