Hello Folks,,
I've recently purchased an 2005 Freelander Freestyle TD,, I'm having an issue any help would be gratefully appreciated.
My Freelander cut out the other week when clutch was depressed, the engine management light came on and it stalled,,, it took several attempts to start and eventually fired........... the AA took it to a garage, the next day, well they followed me as it drove perfectly, where the fuel pump was replaced as it was grinding severely.
I got the car back and it was fine for a couple of weeks,, then this happened: today I had done about 45 minutes driving and it ran fine, when I stopped the revs were fluctuating between 1000 - 600 then it cut out.. it took a long turn over before it started, then ran reasonably well...... after about 20 minutes the EML ( Engine Management Light ) came on and it briefly cut out, but went into what appears as limp mode, with power loss, then the light went out and it ran fine, and it revved ok and cruised at 75 no problems, this happened a 4 / 5 times before getting home ( about 20 miles ),, once home I turned it off and it re-started and idled perfectly... Any ideas / help would be appreciated..
