Freelander Drone....

Hi Folks,
just wondering what can be causing the drone in my rear axle, Have been told that the Freelander mk1 doesn't have wheel bearing issues which I thought the noise was, as it seems to be a one sided drone, It is a 52 plate td4 with 112k on the clock.
If anyone has an idea and a remedy please get back in touch, some have said it could be the diff? really don't want to turn radio up every time I use her!!!!!

emmmm......just coz gaylanders don't have a brand-wide issue, doesn't mean that your wheel bearings don't have an individual issue....:doh:

Cheers Beneagles, also forgot to post that she has had the drive shafts removed from the rear and is FWD constantly.
Is there a test that can be done to confirm a worn bearing?

Jack it up - grasp wheel at sides and try to rock it...repeat with hands at top and bottom. Any play is a baaaad sign
