Hi guys,
I am looking for some help with a problem I’m experiencing with my 2005
Freelander TD4.

Owned for 14 Months, about 6 Months ago it started to cut out after being started, then would start and run fine on second attempt. This continued to happen until it was serviced (Done myself using quality parts). For 3 weeks after the service it started and run fine every turn of the key. The last 6 weeks it has continued to cut out, some times as much as 6 times before it stays running. When it cuts out it seems to die slowly as apposed to suddenly stop. Normally starts fine first thing in morning and usually only happens when engine is warm (Or not completely cold) Also at times it idles a little juddery and occasionally there has been a couple second delay when accelerating on motorway.
Spent the day at our local garage on Monday this week and they found nothing wrong, if I had any I would be pulling my hair out now as this problem is driving me mad and have even considered getting rid so any help would greatly appreciated and can give more info if required.

Thanks in advance

Did you do the fuel filter ( in rear wheel arch) when you serviced? Sounds like its being starved of fuel (dying then cutting out) Did the garage get any fault codes from the obd?

fuel rail pressure sensor?? renowned for greening up, disconnect annd clean with contact cleaner. there is also a reworked harnes for this, do a search for more info
