freelander alarm/window

Hi all, im having problems with my 54 plate freelander. Over past month while driving noticed that door open light keeps coming on while driving. As a solution to this if i open the boot and close it then it goes off. Not sure if this is a problem or not??? but over past few days my alarm keeps going off which it has never done b4, so im thinking that this might be connected to the boot light coming on?? today when it went off i unlocked car with fob then i opened boot and re closed it. Next problem been that window did not go back up when closed.

Has anyone had this problem? any ideas how to fix it?? :-/

Is it 3 or 5 door?

The window only goes up if the tail gate is closed. If the door open light stays on them it thinks one of the doors is still open. I think the sensor is in the lock but someone will confirm this. It sounds like it can't sense the tail gate has closed.

Hi it is a 3 door. when i close boot window no longer goes up. and with me having door open light keep coming on recently im thinking it is connected!! might be wrong

check the roof catches are fully closed. if they are check the micro switches in them

I think I'm correct in saying the tailgate window will fully drop if the roof switch says the roof has been removed. If the tailgate window only drops a few inches then it's because it thinks the tailgate is open.
