Freelander ABS Sensor

Hi All
I need to renew my ABS Sensor on my W Registration Freelander
I can checked dealers / suppliers and the prices quoted are stupid money
I have seen the attached on ebay and was wondering if this would work
Any and all advice most welcome

I hope this helps. Early Freelanders had an active ABS system. You'll know if you have this if your ABS light goes out a few moments after you start up. Later models From 2001ish hava a passive system. In this system the ABS light goes out after you drive forward a few meters. I had a 1999 Freelander and had to replace all 4 sensors at a silly cost. The easy way to find out if this unit will fit is to unplug the sensor you need to replace and see if it has a male connector or female. One system usues male and the other uses female.

When I start car all lights come on as expected then after a few seconds all go out except the ABS / Downhill Decent lights, they stay on
In the past if I start the car with DiffLock engaged the lights go out but come on again after a few seconds

i paid £15 each delivered for mine from ebay

mine is a W reg and i needed to buy Female sensor connectors for mine

Might be a brake light switch I'm replacing mine this weekend actually

Its a W plate 2000 you will find it is a 2 pin switch and doesnt cause the problem like the 2001 onwards on do
