Freelander 2 Tailgate pops open

We like people who try to help themselves by searching, but rather than just tacking your query on the end of a three year old thread, you're probably going to get a more meaningful reply if you start your own thread in the Freelander section of the forum.

Hi all, I have the same problem, when i disconnect the plug on the right as you are looking at it with the red tab the problem goes away, this seems to be connected to the numberplate light, when i unplug it they go out but the boot works great. do i need anew one of those wire/switch things or is there another way round it.
