Hi, have problem which local garage has told me is in the rear axle. They have suggested that they remove the rear prop shaft to see if it eliminates the crunching problem when the steering is turned and you are moving. Is it a good idea to drive the vehicle with the rear drive disconnected?

You can just don’t go he’ll bent for leather while it’s in 2wd mode. There is an easier test for it, no need get shaft off.

You’ll get a proper answer in the Freelander section, best post there for technical questions ;)
