Hi,
2011 Build, Diesel
Getting a bit of a run around.
Radiator Fan is coming on/off intermittently as the vehicle warms up.
Just before half on the Temp Gauge it comes on and stays on.
Runs for a short time after turning engine off.
Vehicle is running cold (never over half on the gauge) and chewing fuel.

Told it could be the Thermostat.
Told it could need a whole Fan Shroud Module.
Told it could need a Fan Speed Resistor.

This started a short while ago and TBH for years I didn't ever hear the fan before, even after turning
engine off.

Prefer not to go down the wrong path for a fix if I don't have to.

Any info/ideas is greatly appreciated.

I expect the fan is comong on by default because it thinks it's too hot. Possibly due to the temp sensor or controller failing, which defaults it to run the fan. A diagnostic will tell you the fault code if there is one.
