I found this forum whilst trying to figure out the issue with my freelander.
Very useful.
Last month I had a few warnings on dashboard for "steering column locked" .. Pulled key out, put back in, sometimes jiggled wheel and then would start and drive fine. Then wouldn't start at all. Towed to garage. Software reboot and steering column change 515 pounds. 4x4 garage.
Two weeks later same warning flashed up 5 X in one day so got it straight back. They couldn't find any fault but rebooted software.
Now I'm nervous driving it. Driven it 20-30 X and no trouble. Passed MOT today but I'm really worried it will fail on me again.
Anyone had similar?
