Freelander 2.0 L clutch change

Oh wise ones....any ideas on how to center the clutch on a freelander 2.0 L series diesel without the contraption in the Rave manual ?

I've had to get a new engine (rather, another engine) as the last one blew up. So, before I put it in I though I'd change the clutch and the belts.

local motor factors, ask for a clutch alignment tool, a couple o quid.

scrapyard, find a freelander gearbox the same as yours and cut out the input shaft.
