Hi all, problem with my Freelander, in that there had been a grinding noise when doing up the passenger window, and now the window has partially dropped in to the door after I tried putting the window down.

I can lift the window up in the door, and I can wedge it into the frame, which holds the window in place, but I'm keen to get it fixed, however it's all new to me,

Anyone got any good guides or pointers to help me fix the window to get it functioning as it should?

It's a 2003 Freelander 1 TD4 Sport (2.0L Diesel), and is a 3 Door, if it makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

sounds like the cable has snapped,

It's more likely that the regulator is broken, it has plastic knuckles on each end that the cable runs through and every now and then they break. You can get repair kits, but if not mechanically minded, you can get replacement regulators that aren't too expensive.
