Well finally we have got the car going properly . at first the computer kept saying map sensor and I looked at the wiring because I had some jobs done by a local garage, turbo, high pressure fuel pump , and so on now at first Arctic2 sent me some wiring which cured the map sensor problem BUT when we looked at the wiring loom there were several damaged area's what we think happened was they had got the loom trapped and then pulled at it, so a new engine wiring loom was ordered and it was the last LR had in, we fitted it and at the same time fitted a new starter motor as that was playing up and we were about to go on holiday. but the car was not right ,so off we went to Ireland and the car played up for a week and then Gear box went into limp mode ,so we had to arrange with the AA to bring us home what a joke that was , I had to call them out to take me back to the cottage I told them it was an auto and needed to be lifted , they sent a van then two hours later a lorry came and took me back , then we had to call them again to take us down to Dublin another van turned up and again a lorry turned up after so we set off for Dublin , I rang the AA from Dublin to arrange a lorry to take me home from Holyhead and guess what yep a van turned up after a 3 hour wait a lorry came and took us home not bad 18 hours to get home the ferry trip is only 2 hours and it was only 240 miles in all I think with my bad legs I could have walked it, and my car went in to the only garage I would trust that I know of who does nothing but auto boxes ,and we got it back again a couple of days later but I still had this problem of putting my foot down and getting hardly anything so we really went to town checking everything and then we came to the vacuum well blow me down somebody had put the pipes wrong so that was sorted and now hopefully it goes again , but I must thank ARCTIC2 for sending me the wire to try and fix things .
