The insurance company have agreed to let me keep SWMBOs old Freelander 1 TD4.
Written off because the airbags deployed.
Still runs and drives.
My intention is to keep the gearbox, flywheel, clutch, IRS and rear diff.
I will probably keep all the ECUs because they are useful for my diagnostics business.
It had a brand new light beige headlining a few months back which appears to be made of fibreglass instead of cardboard, however the material has already started to come unstuck.
The four doors are good, the tailgate isn't. It's a dark metallic grey colour.
The sunroof is knackered.
The BMW diesel engine did run as sweat as a nut and can still be seen running. The only caveat is that SWMBOs new Freelander didn't have very good injectors so I swapped them.
If someone wants a TD4 engine and wants to see it running (or even drive it) then get in touch before I remove the transmission or electronics, but if you want to buy it then remember that it will need one or more injectors.
It's in Ruislip north west London.
