I think its here I introduce myself...if not im going to look like a right knob.
Hi everyone
Hope someone can help here.
In the past I had srs tc abs hill descent light ..stay on.
I cured the srs light by replacing the squib in the steering wheel.
when i turn on the ignition the hill descent and tdc ,abs lighs come on ..after a few seconds the Hill descent light goes out. but the abs and tc stay on and never go out.
when i try the hill descent yellow switch on gear stick in 1st gear or reverse the Hill decent light does not come on. I am not sure what exactly the hill descent switch does when applied only that im thinking changes the speed ratio only for 1st & reverse Gear. is it possible it is working in all my gears effecting the noise and feeling of whining vibration? in relation t the following >>.
> other problem i have is I feel the gear ratio is high as in 5th gear sounds like it could go up another one.
speed of 60klm and over i get a feeling of vibration in steering but feels transient in possibly front drive shafts. going on straight road it doesn't feel so bad up to 120+klms but going up a hill with similar speeds feels some resistance understandably but shakes a bit more. elimination of process I removed the prop to eliminate the vcu to rear shafts.its a little better but not much ! I do not get a feeling its wheel or tyre balance as it feels it runs straight and tyre wear is evenly good and does not pull to either side.
My brakes don't feel great either ..don't always feel they bite, and hard foot pressing don't feel very effective. but feel some transient rubbing on pedal ,I just about stopped myself going over a mountain as it went into a skid.
I know its a catalog of probs but some how feel all related .. abs, track control,.drive shafts .Hill descent
anyone had similar experience?
cheers

Colin
