Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get some 16"/17" alloys for a freelander 1, also i'm on a budget so cheap is good.

Cheers,
Struan

EBAY

I got a ful set of five 16" alloys with virtually brand new Michelin Synchrones on for £330 - 2 years ago

was the fourth lot I had bid on before I won 'em. Reckon I got a bargain as 20,000 miles later, the tyre are hardly even half worn.

Just a bit of patience needed.

Yep - loads on eBay.

I got a set of 4x 15" alloys for £42. They even had good tyres as well. My plan is to fit a set of 4 Colway A/T tyres that I bought new for £99 delivered - bargain!!

Just make sure that you buy the correct alloys for your model year. 1997 - 2000 alloys do not fit 2001 - 2006 models properly. (nuts line up, but wheel does not seat correctly on the hub)

Any queries feel free to ask.

If you have an early Freelander (like my 1998 model) then all Freelander 1 wheels fit without a problem.

You will also need alloy wheel nuts - dont use the steel ones as it is not safe!!

Regards,

Steve
