freelander 1.8 thermostat

hi all just done head gasket on my 1.8 52 plate freelander

now then i also have changed the thermostat aswell the thermostat on this one is housed in a big plastic houseing at front of egine and has 3 pipe conections

now the bit that im im sort of stuck on is one pipe on the top of thermo says to pump with a arrow on it i have conected the black pipe that runs at the back of engine to the water pump to this conection

is this right as when i took the old stat off this was connected to top rad hose any hel appreciated

right the houseing has 3 conectors on

1= one on bottom of houseing gose to bottom rad hose

then that leaves 2 on top one of them is straight up which ive connected to top rad house the other one in the top of the houseing is slightly bent and has the word pump on it with arrow i have conected this one to the pipe that eventually runs behind the engin block that gose into a metal pipe that gose to water pump

Your last description seems correct. Its the PRT type, LR tech bulletin 0026 has the diagram, will post link tomorrow
