Hi. Seems like my freelander has caught the virus, its got a really high temperature and coughs and splutters a lot,no seriously has anyone come across a similar problem to this, when i start from cold i have to give it some accelerator and it fires up but if i let of the gas the revs drop to zero and it stalls, but after running it for a couple of miles it works as it should.THe diagnostics reads open loop due to insignificant engine temperature, which seems strange as i am in southern spain.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Does the engine warning light flash for the first couple of miles and resolve itself then ? Try running it static for 3 mins before you drive away it works . Have had same prob that fixes the prob also fuel pump may be getting sticky have replaced my one and huge improvement . Best of luck !!
