That was the Fred Flintstone special. Did it have 9 inch or 11 inch
clogs in the back for passengers to stop with?

520 miles today (Southampton and back). 10,000 miles since 1st June.
I don't miss the Disco on these big day trips if I'm honest. I did
Barnsley - Troon, Troon - Avonmouth and Avonmouth - Barnsley in three
days a couple of weeks back and short of an S-Class I don't think
there's a better vehicle than the Volvo to do it in.

The high driving position of a Land Rover makes motorway driving an
easier proposition of course, but progress can be somewhat slower!

Oh, I dunno. our 300 disco will cruise at 85, and quite honestly that's
enough hassle for me what with looking out for gatsos and dibbles. Did
about 600 miles in a day once in it, which was a bit tiring, but I daresay
it'd have been equally tiring in anything else, for that matter.

I must admit the ubaru eats the miles & has more than enough power for overtaking etc. It's also got a
cracking ride & is very quiet!!!

Bugger, I was in Leeds on saturday as well taking my son to university, but
now i am back in Essex.

I will leave the pleasures for someoen a little more local

Regards

Alun P

I miss my limo of course, the power steering, the auto box, the quiet above
all, but I am resigned to my series now albeit I will have to get round to
some serios sound proofing eventually.

Driving to Wales and back in a day did not bother me that was about 400
miles, and next year I hope to be driving to Scotland, whehter I shall use
the M6 is debatable though.
