I have just bought a new in tank fuel pump for my 2.5dse P38 and fitted it and it doesnt work. I am an electrical/mechanical engineer by trade and have taken it back out and i have 12v down to the pump but nothing. Is this a common occurence with Britpart replacement parts?? To top it all off both of Foundry's telephone numbers are out of order and i need my car back together asap:mad:

I was actually one of the few on here who defended Britpart and said hey, you get what you paid for. But honestly, their stuff is getting to be such ****e quality now they must be taking the ****. The one thing they're still ok at is customer service so if it doesn't work they should take it back. If you can't get through to your parts factor why not ring Britpart directly and tell them you'll accept a replacement or a an upgrade to OEM / Genuine if they pay postage or summat.

I don't want to highjack the thread but I'll go with Rasheed on his 'you get what you pay for' angle. For important (i.e brakes, fuel & suspension parts) I buy genuine LR, but for others I'll consider pattern. A lot has been said about Brittpart on the forums but I can only speak as I find & on that note I'm having one of their RRC radiators fitted tomorrow by my local 'independant' who seems happy with the quality (& he's on the ball) so I'll post any observations. It may take some mileage to show up any problems.
