Bought my Disco coupla months ago, checked and altered tyre pressures, I`ve changed all oils, greased props etc. Felt pretty confident. Then remembered to check spare wheel pressure. I`d previously half pulled cover off to check it wasn`t bald but had gone no further. Anyway tread was fine all round, but tyre is 10 yr old and showing cracking around side wall. Pressure was 3psi. That`s now pumped up, and looking at a change soon.
So any of you checked your spare`s pressure lately? And how old is your spare? Usable on a m-way in the summer with a full load and kids sitting in the back? I`m sure some of you do check, but bet not all of you!

I guess we all tend to forget about the spare until we actually need it, I do about 40 miles each way to work each day and it would be a nightmare to change the wheel for the spare after a punchure only to find thats flat also

I had a practice tyre change a few weeks back and discovered the jack from My Disco 2 didn't work?? So now i'm looking at getting a spare jack for it or at least trying to repair the original, May just need an oil top up??

hi guys,
last year i got up to two flat ish tyres and the spare was flat too:eek:
i now have a brand new spare to match the others and i check all the pressures every two /three weeks.
i had to call a mate at 6;45am to give me a lift to fuel station to pump up each tyre and having only one jack meant we had to do it twice.
